You grew up watching He-man, MASK,Transformers, Silver Hawk and MickeyMouse, Ninja turtles, Carebears,Robocop, My Little Pony and Smurfs. ( I love the Smurfs!)
You grew up brushing your teeth witha mug in Primary school duringrecess time. You would squat by adrain (mine was sink okie!?) with all your classmates besideyou, and brush your teeth with acoloured mug. (We had to bring everyday!!)
You know what SBC stands for. (I rmb i think it was Singapore Broadcasting Corporation... )
You paid 40 cents for cartons ofChocolate or Strawberry milk everyweek in class.
Everyone's wallet used to be thevelcro type.
It was cool to have pagers in primary school. (I had a red motorola de!)
SBS buses used to be non-airconditioned. The bus seats aremade of wood and the cushionwere red.The big red bell gave a loud BEEP!when pressed.
There were still bus tickets and busconductors would come up to checkthem.
Envelopes were given to us to donate to Sharity Elephant every Children's Day. (I donate all the time!)

You know who's Vinny thelittle vampire and Acai theconstable. (Haha i used to go bookshop sit and read)
You know what PETS are and the hiddenanimals in all the text pages.
You hated penmanship.
Writing lines and caning hands werecommon, esp if you failed chinesespelling
(caning was actually allowed).
You were there when they first introduced the MRT here.
You went for the first ride with yourparents and you would kneel on theseat to see the scenery.
Movie tickets used to cost only$3.50.
Girls were fascinated by StrawberryShort Cake and Barbie Dolls.
You learn to laugh like The Count inSesame Street.
You bought tidbits called beebee (20cents per pack, 10 cents in MGS), andmamee (30 cents), that had adifferent sticker in it every time.
Hardy Boys, Nancy Drew, The ThreeInvestigators, Famous Five and SecretSeven were probably the thickest storybooks you thought you would everread.
Catching and pepsi-cola was the INthing, and twist was the magic word.
Your English workbooks were made ofsome damn poor quality paper
that was smooth and yellow.
You came to school 15 mins before thebell every morning just
so you could copy someone's homework.
CDIS was your best friend.
The only computer lessons in school involved funny pixellized
charactersin 16 colours walking about trying toteach you math.
Waterbottles were slung around yourneck
and a must everywhere you went.
Boys loved to play soccer with smallstones or tennis balls in thebasketball court.
Girls played five stones and boysplayed with marbles.
Science was fun with the Balsam andthe Angsana being the most importantplants of our lives, guppies andswordtail being the most importantfishes.
Who can forget Ahmad, Bala, Sumei andJohn, immortalized in our minds fromschool textbooks.
We conducted experiments of our own toget badges for being a YoungZoologist/Botanist etc.
Every Children's day and National dayyou either got pins or penswith 'Happy Children's Day 1993' oruseless plastic files with 'HappyNational Day 1994'. (I think they are still doin it now! )
You wore BM2000, BATA, or Pallasshoes. (HAHA guess wt? I wore Reebok lor! Black somemore!! hee)
Your form teacher taught youMaths, Science and English.
You went to school in slippers and araincoat when it rained, and you finda dry spot in the school to sit down,dry your feet, and wear your dry andwarm socks and shoes.
