Just got back from Berkelah Waterfall yesterday. Its been quite a while since I went on a trip. Was a little bit different this time round. Dear went along of course, however we had four little rascals along with us this time. :) The ones that went were me, dear, liza, fauzun, aziz, latiffah, liza's sister, husband and four kids. lolx. Quite an experience having kids with us on a trek.
Reached the foot of Berkelah only on Thursday. Set up our campsite and played in the water. really cold i would say. I think though, Jerangkang was much colder. lolx. 1st day meal was Pasta. haha. It was good. Dinner was to be even better. tom yam soup, black pepper chicken, and rice. Alot or what! Even though in total there were twelve of us, yet we could not finish all our food. For literally all meals!
me and dear slept really early. heez. I actually tied my hammock, and she slept on it, whilst I slept on aziz's. Felt bad la. As they tried waking us up for supper with no avail. lolx.
The next day we woke up and made lunch to bring up to waterfall. Had pancake for breakfast. Never really perfect ones, good enough though. (: Trekked up to the highest waterfall. Along the way the terrain was still managable. Except like dear was wearing my adidas booties that deemed useless. So was liza's teva sandals and latiffah's salomon shoes. We therefore conclude that nike booties were the best! lolx. Got to the top and they played in the water. Did jump as how we did it the other time. Except this time I didnt jump. Lucky of me to get my period. =\ Mayo egg and corn mutton sandwich was lunch. :)
Trekked down and showered by the stream. Dinner was chicken rice, vegetable with tun hun, lemon chicken and soup. jemput jemput was our snack. lolx. How wonderful our meals were. lolz. Played Big2 Uno and heart attack. Everyone was tired so we didnt slept late.
Packed up and trekked down the next day. our misfortune begun. First waited for quite a long time for the lorry to pick us up. Apparently, the lorry got blocked by another lorry that fell into the drain. At the small eatery we could not shower at the usual place, as it was locked up by the mosque. When we load up the van to head towards bus terminal, it broke down. By the time the got a replacement van, the van's door had difficulty opening, not only that, we had to squeeze and half way through the back door open and one of the bag flew out! gosh. And because of all this hassle, we were late for our bus. The driver was kind enough to call the bus company to inform them we are late for some reason and he stopped us at another stop. He waited with us. Zu en at first said that the van better keep moving otherwise it'll be hot, than liza said its lucky that the van didnt break down and that was when it happened. After all the above episode zu en said that hopefully the bus leave late so that we could still catch the bus. And so it did. What luck huh?!
Well eventually we got to larkin bus terminal. Got taxi and we went to some place and eat. It was than that liza's father said the culprit of all that happen is the stone that her nephew brought back.
is it true that one should really take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints?.. hmz.. Well they throw it back to the sea anyway.
All in all, it was a great trip. Can't wait for the next one! (:
